Banorte partners with Caintra to fund over 5,000 SMEs

Grupo Financiero Banorte signed a strategic agreement with the industrial chamber Caintra Nuevo León on Thursday, October 1, 2026, to expand financing access for small and medium-sized enterprises. The program aims to benefit more than 5,000 SMEs affiliated with the organization.

Under the agreement, businesses can access financing of up to MXN 50 million depending on their operational capacity. For credit applications of up to MXN 8 million, Banorte offers a streamlined evaluation process that does not require audited financial statements.

The initiative addresses significant barriers to business borrowing in the region. According to figures from Caintra, 24% of SMEs that apply for bank credit fail to obtain financing.
