Boeing extends 787 composite frame deal with Albany

The Boeing Company reached an agreement with Albany International to extend component manufacturing for the 787 Dreamliner. Under the extended deal, Albany Engineered Composites will continue to produce approximately 300 unique composite fuselage frames for Sections 41 and 43 at its facility in Salt Lake City.

The partnership between the two companies on this program was established in 2014. Extending the contract helps Boeing secure critical composite parts and reduce supply chain friction as the planemaker works to stabilize its 787 production and delivery schedules.

Boeing continues to rely on a broad supplier network, facing industry risks that include potential component cost inflation, engine delays, and factory execution challenges across its commercial programs.
