Credicorp launches Shicra tech program with Kyndryl

Credicorp presented Shicra, its strategic technology transformation program implemented alongside Kyndryl, on August 25. The initiative aims to build a common operational model to support the financial holding's growth across its various business units.

André Rezende, corporate CTO of Credicorp, explained that a primary challenge was tackling the complexity of an IT operation that previously evolved independently within each company. Axel Pozo, CTO of Credicorp Capital, noted that Shicra incorporates industry models, standardized tools, and best practices to establish a group-wide standard without sacrificing business flexibility.

Technology leaders from other subsidiaries highlighted operational gains from the rollout. Harvey Vásquez, CTO of Pacífico Seguros and Prima AFP, pointed to shared practices and synergies that simplify operations and improve monitoring. Irving Tapia, CTO of Pacífico Salud, added that the program provides tools for scalable management, freeing teams to focus on core business value.
