CBD wins court approval for 4.568B BRL debt plan
Creditors holding 57.49% of the unsecured debt backed the extrajudicial restructuring in São Paulo.
The 3rd Bankruptcy and Judicial Restructuring Court of São Paulo approved the extrajudicial recovery plan of
Companhia Brasileira de Distribuição on October 7, 2026. The retailer confirmed the court decision through a material fact filing submitted to the Brazilian securities regulator CVM.
The approved plan restructures a total of 4.568 billion BRL in unsecured debt. Creditors holding 57.49% of the debt subject to the proceeding voted in favor of the proposal.
Under the terms of the agreement, creditors have 3 payment modalities available to settle the outstanding obligations. The framework also secures 200 million BRL in new financing committed by participating creditors to support the business.
