Cisco unveils agentic AI tools and RoomOS 27 for Webex
The updates add Claude, OpenAI dots, and native Google Meet support on devices.
At WebexOne 2026 on October 7, 2026,
Cisco introduced a suite of agentic collaboration tools across Webex, physical workspaces, and customer service systems. The rollout shifts AI features from reactive chat assistants into proactive digital teammates that carry out multi-step tasks.
Inside Webex, Cisco is adding Claude Managed Agents to analyze enterprise data, make recommendations, and coordinate multi-step work across approved applications. Webex also integrates with OpenAI dots using the Model Context Protocol.
For physical spaces, Cisco announced RoomOS 27, which will arrive in November. Through a partnership with Google, Cisco devices now natively support fully featured Google Meet alongside Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom. Collaboration devices also feature a new AI assistant operating in 32 languages to handle ambient controls, alongside a single-cable IP hardware unit called Cisco Ceiling Speaker Pro.
For customer service, Cisco introduced Dialog, an agentic harness for Webex AI Agent that allows bots to execute tasks after calls end and retain relationship context over time. The platform integrates Cisco AI Defense security guardrails alongside operational telemetry managed through Splunk.
