Ecopetrol names three new vice presidents
The management changes will take effect by October 6, 2026.
The board of directors of Colombian oil company Ecopetrol approved three appointments to its senior management team. The executives will take up their posts by October 6, 2026, as the company moves to reinforce its corporate governance, strategy, and operations.
Mónica Jiménez González will serve as legal vice president and general secretary. She previously worked at Ecopetrol between 2016 and 2022 as general secretary and corporate affairs vice president, and brings over 20 years of experience in corporate law, business strategy, governance, and sustainability.
Mauricio Gutiérrez will take over as corporate vice president of strategy and new business. His background spans investment banking, finance, and the oil and gas industry, with a focus on mergers, acquisitions, and investment transactions.
Camilo Rojas was named administrative and services vice president, where he will oversee procurement and contracting. Rojas previously served in Colombia's public sector as minister of justice and law, vice minister of criminal policy, and director of the prison services agency (USPEC).
