Embraer has delivered its first E195-E2 regional jet to LATAM Airlines on October 8, 2026. The delivery ceremony was scheduled for the morning at the manufacturer's facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil.

The aircraft is the first unit from a firm order of 24 jets valued at 2.1 billion dollars at list prices. The agreement also includes purchase options for 50 additional aircraft, bringing the potential size of the deal to 74 planes.

The delivered jet is configured with 136 seats and includes an onboard entertainment system offering 2,000 hours of digital content. LATAM pilots completed 1,500 hours of flight simulator training ahead of receiving the aircraft, following the hiring of 54 pilots in April 2026 dedicated to the fleet.

LATAM plans to incorporate 14 aircraft into its fleet between November 2026 and March 2027. The regional fleet expansion aims to serve 67 Brazilian cities by March 2027.
