Enphase Energy announced on October 8, 2026, that it began production shipments of its new IQ Gateway Fusion in India. The compact system works alongside the company's IQ8 microinverters to power homes directly with solar energy during daytime power cuts, even without a dedicated home battery.

The device combines an IQ Gateway, an IQ Relay, and an integrated power socket into a single IP65-rated unit designed for terraces, small rooftops, and compact homes. Using Enphase Sunlight Backup, the unit can supply power to connected appliances such as home UPS units, refrigerators, and electric scooters when the electric grid fails.

Each IQ Gateway Fusion unit supports up to 3,680 W of output and connects with up to seven IQ8P or nine IQ8HC microinverters. Indian households can pair the hardware with existing UPS batteries to recharge them using sunlight during daytime outages or export excess energy when the grid operates normally.

Indian homeowners shouldn't lose access to their own solar power when the grid goes down. IQ Gateway Fusion delivers daytime backup and smarter UPS charging in a simple, compact system that our installers can deploy quickly.

Sunil Thamaran, senior vice president and managing director of India at Enphase Energy

Enphase reported that it has shipped approximately 89.4 million microinverters globally, with about 5.3 million Enphase-based systems deployed across more than 165 countries.
