Heineken México is integrating artificial intelligence into its operations to streamline brewing at its Orizaba plant. Managing Director Oriol Bonaclocha detailed the improvements during the facility's 130th anniversary, as reported by Milenio.

The Orizaba plant accounts for 26% of Heineken's total beer production in Mexico and generates 570 direct jobs. The site operates alongside six other breweries across the country, forming a network of seven production plants.

Efficiency efforts at Orizaba have cut water consumption by 50% over less than 15 years. Operational upgrades have also avoided 275 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions at the site.

Globally, Heineken sells 25 million lager beers every day across 192 countries. The group recorded 14.8 billion euros in global net revenue for the first half of 2026, alongside an annual sales growth rate of 2.7%.
