IBM elects Frank Baker to its board of directors
The co-founder of Siris Capital joins the technology company effective October 1, 2026.
The board of directors of IBM has elected Frank Baker as a new director, effective October 1, 2026.
Baker is a co-founder and the managing partner of Siris Capital Group, LLC. The private equity firm has deployed more than $9 billion of equity capital since its inception across technology, telecommunications, and data-focused businesses. In this role, he oversees the investment portfolio and leads the firm's strategy.

Prior to co-founding Siris, Baker served as a managing director at Ripplewood Holdings and started his career in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs. He also serves as a trustee of the University of Chicago, chairman of the board of the Robert & Ethel Kennedy Human Rights Center, and trustee of Deerfield Academy.
