Itaú Unibanco recorded rapid operational expansion in its Pix Automático service during the first half of 2026. The financial volume settled through the recurring payment mechanism rose 281% compared to the second half of 2025. The operational metrics were shared by Angelo Russomanno, Director of Receivables and Acquiring at Itaú Unibanco, in an interview with Estadão on 10 September 2026. The bank observed client acceptance rates for recurring opt-in requests ranging between 70% and 80%.
