NetEase Cloud Music partners with gamma. in China
The multi-year deal will distribute music from Ye, Mariah Carey, Usher, and Snoop Dogg.
NetEase Cloud Music announced a multi-year strategic partnership with global media and technology company gamma. on October 8, 2026. The deal establishes the Chinese streaming service as a key launch platform for licensed recordings from gamma.'s roster, which includes Ye, Mariah Carey, Sexyy Red, Usher, and Snoop Dogg.
Beyond digital distribution, the agreement encompasses artist promotion, cultural exchange programs, and original music content designed to expand the presence of international artists in China. The companies previously collaborated in September 2025 on the Chinese debut of Mariah Carey's album Here For It All. That release generated more than four times the first two-week streaming volume of her 2018 album Caution and surpassed the 14-day performance of every studio album Carey released in China over the prior decade.
NetEase Cloud Music operates with more than 200 million monthly active users and hosts over 1.25 million independent musicians. gamma., co-founded by CEO Larry Jackson and President Ike Youssef, operates eight global offices and powers more than 10,000 monthly releases through its Vydia platform.
