The Series C financing values the AI drug developer at $800 million.
Nvidia has participated in an oversubscribed $140 million Series C financing round for Basecamp Research. The deal values the London-based artificial intelligence drug discovery company at $800 million.
The round was led by S32. Alongside Nvidia, investors included Anthropic's Anthology Fund, Catalio Capital Management, the NATO Innovation Fund, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Singular. Basecamp previously raised $60 million in a Series B round led by Singular in October 2024.
Basecamp plans to use the capital to train a new generation of its EDEN biological foundational models and push AI-designed therapies into clinical development. The models are trained on proprietary genomic data collected across more than 30 countries to generate drug candidates based on disease data.
The startup focuses on therapies that reprogram patient cells inside the body to address cancer and autoimmune diseases. Additionally, Basecamp appointed former Biogen executive Richard Pearce as its chief business officer to expand pharmaceutical partnerships.
