Plug Power signs 280 MW electrolyzer deal in Denmark

Plug Power Inc. announced on Sept. 29, 2026, that it signed an agreement to supply 280 megawatts of GenEco electrolyzers to Arcadia eFuels for Project ENDOR in Denmark. The transaction follows three years of joint engineering work. Equipment deliveries will begin after the project issues a notice to proceed.

Project ENDOR is Arcadia eFuels' flagship facility at the Port of Vordingborg on Denmark's south coast. Once built, the site will use renewable grid electricity to run the 280 MW system, generating roughly 110 tons of renewable hydrogen per day. Arcadia eFuels will combine that hydrogen with captured carbon dioxide to produce sustainable aviation fuel for standard aircraft.

Alongside the equipment order, the two companies entered a strategic cooperation agreement. The pact positions Plug Power as the preferred electrolyzer supplier for four additional Arcadia eFuels projects across Europe and the Americas, representing over 1 GW of potential electrolyzer capacity. It also grants Arcadia eFuels priority access to Plug Power's manufacturing pipeline.

According to José Luis Crespo, President and CEO of Plug, Europe remains the company's most active electrolyzer market as aviation mandates take effect under the EU's ReFuelEU Aviation framework. Amy Hebert, CEO of Arcadia eFuels, noted that Project ENDOR is advancing toward a final investment decision. In Europe, Plug is also executing projects across Denmark, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Portugal, including a 100 MW GenEco installation at Galp's Sines refinery.
