Accenture invests in AI startup Within and sets partnership

Accenture announced on September 23, 2026, that it has invested in Within through Accenture Ventures. The companies have also formed a strategic partnership to help corporate clients map operations, improve workflows, and deploy artificial intelligence agents.

Within develops an AI platform that tracks how employees work across software applications and captures undocumented offline steps. The technology compiles this operational data into a system called Work Brain, which provides AI models and agents with the business context needed to automate processes across departments such as finance, human resources, and supply chain.

According to Accenture's Pulse of Change survey of more than 3,000 executive leaders, 82% of organizations are increasing investment in AI. However, only 23% report achieving widespread and sustained business value from the technology, down from 32% earlier in 2026.

The financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Accenture employs approximately 799,000 people, serves around 9,000 clients, and generated about $70 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2025.
