Airbus employees in Spain voted on October 1, 2026, to approve a new four-year collective labor agreement covering 2026 to 2029. The ballot ended weeks of strikes across the company's eight manufacturing facilities in the country, where Airbus employs 14,500 people.

The referendum drew 13,378 voters, representing an 87.33% turnout among eligible staff. A total of 10,269 employees, or 76.76%, voted in favor of the proposal. Opposition accounted for 20.26% with 2,105 votes, while 399 workers cast abstaining ballots, representing 2.98% of the total.

The approved terms deliver a purchasing power recovery of 7.95 percentage points over the life of the agreement. Wages will increase by 2.0% above real CPI annually from 2026 through 2028, and by 1.95% above real CPI in 2029. The pact also sets aside a 0.5% annual budget allocation for individual salary revisions and promotions in 2026, alongside a non-consolidated gross lump-sum payment of 2,000 euros distributed in October 2026.

Working conditions under the deal permit office staff remote work of up to 40%, capped at two days per week. Annual leave arrangements include two weeks of mandatory fixed vacation and two weeks of flexible vacation to be mutually agreed between employees and managers.
