HomeServices of America, a unit owned by Berkshire Hathaway Energy, announced on October 1, 2026, that it has acquired 1000WATT. The acquired business is a strategy, research, and creative agency that focuses on the residential real estate sector.

Founded in 2007 by Brian Boero and Marc Davison, 1000WATT will integrate its entire staff into HomeServices. Boero will assume the role of Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer, while Davison will become Chief Creative Officer of HomeServices of America. The team brings capabilities in copywriting, design, creative development, project leadership, and consumer research.

The resources will be deployed across HomeServices operating units and HSF Affiliates, which runs the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices franchise network. The purchase follows other steps taken by HomeServices this year, including the rollout of the OnePoint brand, a unified technology platform across its network, and the addition of mortgage servicing to its operations.
