IBM partners with CUBE to track global AI rules

On 17 September 2026, IBM announced a collaboration with CUBE to introduce a new Regulatory Horizon Scanning feature inside IBM watsonx.governance. The integration embeds CUBE's global regulatory intelligence directly into the platform, providing enterprises with continuous visibility into shifting artificial intelligence rules.

The tool automatically monitors AI regulatory updates from authoritative sources worldwide, including regulators, legislative bodies, standards organisations and industry associations. It covers frameworks ranging from the European Union AI Act to the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, placing these updates inside the existing workflows of compliance and risk teams.

Maryam Ashoori, Vice President of watsonx.governance Product & Engineering at IBM, stated that keeping pace with a fast-moving regulatory landscape is essential to responsible AI governance. Ashoori noted that bringing CUBE's intelligence into watsonx.governance gives clients a clearer, more current view of the requirements shaping their systems.

Ben Richmond, Founder and CEO of London-headquartered CUBE, stated that proactive, automated compliance can scale alongside AI adoption. The IBM collaboration follows similar partnerships CUBE announced earlier this year with Microsoft and ServiceNow.
