IBM lists Hashgraph's AI-agent identity tool on cloud catalog

IBM has listed The Hashgraph Group's AI-agent identity software on the IBM Cloud Catalog and entered a global partnership with the Swiss Web3 and AI firm.

The platform, named IDTrust, issues verifiable digital identities to AI agents, devices, and people. Built on Hedera's distributed ledger, it becomes one of the first commercial Hedera-based applications sold directly as a service through a major cloud marketplace, giving it exposure to IBM's global enterprise client base.

Under the agreement, The Hashgraph Group qualified for IBM Silver Partner status and signed an Embedded Solution Agreement covering IBM cloud and AI technology. The pact allows the firm to integrate IBM tools into its own offerings. The IDTrust software is already deployed with a European telecommunications operator for verified caller identity.

The tie-up targets autonomous software oversight, often called Know Your Agent. Research firm Gartner projects that 40% of enterprise applications will embed task-specific AI agents by the end of 2026, up from less than 5% in 2025. IBM has served as a member of Hedera's governing council since 2019.
