Oncoclínicas announced that it will soon call an extraordinary general meeting to elect new members of its board of directors. The decision follows the resignation of board member Paulo Belém.

The company explained that because the current board was elected through a cumulative voting system, the resignation of Belém requires a fresh election for all board seats.

Belém, a former chief financial officer at Comgás, was originally elected to the Oncoclínicas board in April as an appointee of the fund UBS Lumen. He served as vice chairman of the board.

On September 30, Oncoclínicas disclosed that UBS Lumen had already requested a shareholder meeting to deliberate on renewing the board of directors.
