Verizon to launch Siyata's SD7 Ultra 5G rugged handset

Verizon has partnered with Siyata PTT to launch the SD7 Ultra 5G Push-to-Talk handset, expanding the companies' collaboration in mission-critical communications. The rugged device is scheduled to become available through Verizon starting in the third week of September 2026.

The handset features a radio-style design intended for frontline users, including public safety agencies, security teams, school personnel, and construction crews. It allows field workers to communicate instantly without navigating a standard smartphone screen. The device integrates 5G connectivity and CBRS support for organizations modernizing their network infrastructure.

Vijay Paulrajan, vice president of product management at Verizon Business, stated on 17 September 2026 that the launch expands the carrier's portfolio with a rugged device engineered for mission-critical Push-to-Talk and 5G capabilities. The release builds on earlier carrier distribution of Siyata's 4G SD7 model.
