The partnership brings stablecoin-backed credit cards to over 100 markets.
Visa shares gained about 0.3% to $362.95 on Wednesday morning after the payment network partnered with Reap. The collaboration aims to roll out stablecoin-linked credit card programs across more than 100 markets.
The setup allows businesses to fund corporate card spending with stablecoins while merchants receive standard Visa payments. Reap manages card processing, compliance, and daily operations. The company already settles its Asia-Pacific obligations with Visa directly using stablecoins.
Both companies also plan to explore payment features carried out by AI agents within user-defined limits. According to The Paypers, this AI initiative remains an early exploration rather than an active commercial product. The announcement provided no specific forecasts for payment volume or additional revenue for Visa.
