Warner Bros. Discovery merger entity sets its new board
Laurene Powell Jobs, Bobby Kotick and Ynon Kreiz join Skydance's directors with Tony Blair as advisor
Skydance Corporation announced on October 6, 2026, the director and advisor designees for the newly combined company formed through Paramount's merger with
Warner Bros. Discovery. The appointments take effect immediately.
David Ellison will chair the board and continue serving as Chairman and CEO of Skydance. The governing body retains all current members of Paramount's board while adding Emerson Collective founder Laurene Powell Jobs and Activision founder Bobby Kotick as independent directors, alongside Skydance Co-CEO Ynon Kreiz. Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair joins as a board advisor in a personal capacity.
Kotick previously led Activision as CEO for 32 years, overseeing its merger with Vivendi Games and culminating in its $68.7 billion sale to Microsoft. Powell Jobs contributes experience in venture investing and philanthropy, while Blair acts as Executive Chairman of the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
The combined company operates across three segments: Studios, Direct-to-Consumer, and TV Media. Its brand portfolio brings Warner Bros., HBO, CNN, TNT Sports, and Cartoon Network together with Paramount, CBS, and Paramount+.
